I'm Yiyun (Ashley) Liu, a graduated master student at NYU majoring in computer engineering. As a supporter of mind-body dualism, I hold a strong interest in exploring the brain and constructing machines that could replicate human intelligence. I enjoy conducting interdisciplinary research at the the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. Currently, I am a member of CN3Lab, advised by Prof. Zhe Sage Chen at New York University. During this winter vacation, I participated in the 12th Computational Neuroscience Winter School organized by Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Prior to this, my research focused mainly on computer vision and applications with microcontrollers. Our team won the 8th place in the 2020 International Cooking Activity Recognition Challenge under the guidance of Prof. Wei Zhang at Shandong University. I completed my undergraduate thesis on 3D point cloud quality classification neural network design with the instruction of Prof. Hui Yuan, and received my Bachelor of Engineering degree in artificial intelligence & robotics from School of Control Science and Engineering, Shandong University in 2021.

At present, I am actively seeking a Ph.D. or RA position related to computational neuroscience, and I am very open to academic collaboration opportunities. I can help with machine learning, deep learning, programming (Python and Matlab) and data processing.
